Busch drove to victory in the inaugural Cup Series event at Kentucky in 2011 and again in 2015. Despite the challenges of a repaved surface and layout change late last season, Busch kept up his momentum this season, leading 112 laps of the 274-lap race and ended the day with an impressive fifth-place finish.
