After leading the most laps and finishing second in the previous two editions of the Snowball Derby at Pensacola, Florida’s 5 Flags Speedway, Derek Thorn was able to seal the deal and earn the victory in the 2022 running of the prestigious Super Late Model race. With his No. 43 Pepperjack Kennels / The Tool Shack / Power Grade Inc. Super Late Model for Campbell Motorsports, Thorn started second and immediately jumped out to the lead. He was out front for 306 of the race’s 318 laps and held strong over multiple late-race and overtime restarts to become the first California native to win the crown jewel short track event. Now, Lionel Racing is excited to present the official Race Win version die-cast of Thorn’s Snowball Derby car.
