In 2006, Nicorette, the stop-smoking gum from GlaxoSmithKline, will share the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series spotlight with four-time champion, Jeff Gordon. Nicorette will be the primary sponsor of Gordon's No. 24 Chevrolet for twoNASCAR Cup Series races next season. The gum, which helps smokers kick their habit by gradually weaning them off nicotine, also will be a featured associate sponsor aboard the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet all season. In 2005, Nicorette counselors were featured at NASCAR tracks on race weekends where they discussed options for quitting smoking with interested fans.
