JEFF GORDON 2015 IRON MAN/ RIDE WITH JEFF SPECIAL 1/24 ACTION
Over the past 24 seasons, Jeff Gordon has picked up several nicknames, most noticeably “Rainbow Warrior” and “Wonder Boy,” but on Sunday, September 27, the four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ champion earned a new moniker – “Iron Man.”
Gordon made his record-setting 789th consecutive start in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, breaking Ricky Rudd’s record that has stood since 2005. During Gordon’s streak, which began on November 15, 1992, he has amassed some impressive stats: four titles, 92 wins, 323 top fives, 468 top 10s and 80 poles.
Even more impressive though may be that he did all of this with one team – Hendrick Motorsports – and in one car – the No. 24 Chevrolet. And fans now have the opportunity to own a piece of history when they order a die-cast of Gordon’s No. 24 AARP/Ride with Jeff/Iron Man Chevrolet that he drove in his record-breaking start. In commemoration of the streak, the roof number on each die-cast has been switched to “789.”This is an Action Performance
