DALE EARNHARDT JR 2017 GRAY GHOST FINAL MARTINSVILLE RIDE SPECIAL DIECASTS

The fans have spoken. The favorited “Gray Ghost” will be back on track during the October 29 Cup Race where Dale Earnhardt Jr. will make his final Martinsville start. In a fan vote hosted by Nationwide, Earnhardt’s 2016 Southern 500 “Gray Ghost” paint scheme was chosen out of eight nominees as the paint scheme that fans want to see Earnhardt drive one last time. The “Gray Ghost” was a personal favorite of Earnhardt’s, but due to an injury suffered in 2016, he was unable to compete at Darlington Raceway and driver Jeff Gordon took his place. “I wanted to make sure that all the fans that voted know I really appreciate it,” Earnhardt said in a Twitter video. “Yes, I was a little envious (of Gordon). It is a paint scheme I really, really like and I just never got a chance to run it. This goes out to all the fans for voting. I have only you to thank.”
