Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron utilized an ultra-fast pit stop ahead of an Overtime restart to claim his first NASCAR Cup Series® victory of the 2023 season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Byron, with his No. 24 RAPTOR® Chevrolet Camaro, was in second place when the caution flag was displayed and sent the race into Overtime. While one contender remained on the track, Byron and the rest of the leaders hit pit road. Byron’s pit stop was just quick enough to lead the pack off pit road. When the green was displayed for the final time, Byron charged from his front row starting spot to the lead that he would not relinquish. It was Byron’s fifth career NASCAR Cup Series® victory and first at the Las Vegas track.
