DONNIE ALLISON 1969 TORINO #27 1/24 UNIVERSITY OF RACING

Born on September 7, 1939, Donnie Allison is an original member of the “Alabama Gang,” which includes older brothers Bobby Allison and friend Red Farmer. Following Success on the tracks winning ten Grand National Races and seventeen Pole positions that dotted the Alabama countryside, Donnie took his talents to the “Big Leagues,” winning ten Grand National races during a racing career that spanned three decades.

Following part time efforts during the 1966 and 1967 seasons, Allison found victory lane at North Carolina Motor Speedway driving the distinctive red #27 Ford for legendary car owner and mechanic Banjo Matthews. Following a successful partnership that included five victories, Allison drove for some of the other sports premiere teams including the Wood Brothers and Hoss Ellington.
