Driving the No. 24 AARP/Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet SS, Gordon landed a lap time of 201.293 mph - the fifth-fastest DAYTONA® 500 pole speed in history. The feat also marked Gordon’s 78th career pole – ranking him in the top three of all-time pole winners.

“I can’t think of anything cooler than to start this season,” Gordon said. “My final Daytona 500, my final full season, on the pole.”
