Aric Almirola benefitted from a strong pit strategy and a fast No. 28 Ford Mustang to capture the inaugural NASCAR Xfinity Series® victory at Sonoma Raceway. From behind the wheel of the Michael Roberts Construction-backed Ford for RSS Racing, Almirola stayed on track when most other contenders hit pit road late in the race. He was able to hold off the hard-charging pack over the final 15 laps to score his fourth career NASCAR Xfinity Series® victory and the first win for the RSS Racing organization.
