Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins, one of the most famous Pro Stock racers of all time, played a key role in the initial formation of the "heads up" NHRA Pro Stock class. His very first Pro Stock car was his 1968 Chevy Camaro Super Stock racer, which he converted to Pro Stock configuration by subtracting weight,Fadding 12.5" slicks and a dual quad tunnel ram set-up topped by a huge hood scoop. Don't let the fact that this was not a brand new race car mislead you, however. The white 1968 Camaro was Jenkins' most successful race car, by far, and it won the very first NHRA Pro Stock national event at the 1970 Winternationals in Pomona, California. In fact the Camaro won a total of three Pro Stock events in just 15 days, and collected $30,000 in prize money in the process. It was a phenomenal performer in its day, turning in several high nine-second elapsed times in eliminations as it defeated other Pro Stockers with much larger engines.

Ultra Hi-Performance 427 Pro Stock "Rat Motor" w/Edelbrock Tunnel-Ram Intake & Dual 4-bbl Holley Carbs, Hooker Headers, Cragar "S/S" Wheels, Hurst Shifter, etc. Detailed Chassis, Interior & Engine Compartment Working Steering, Lightweight Lift-off Hood with Scoop.
