Limited edition of 349 made. Richard Petty Motorsports pulled off a bait-and-switch before Bubba Wallace’s No. 43 Chevrolet rolled onto the grid for the Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Instead of the all-Petty Blue original STP paint scheme that the team unveiled in July and Wallace drove during qualifying, the crew rewrapped the race car overnight to transform it into the Petty Blue and Day-Glo STP Red paint scheme that Richard Petty ran during the DAYTONA 500® in 1972! Now Lionel Racing is offering this surprise STP car as a Race Run die-cast. Both the 1:24 and 1:64-scale replicas will feature an authentic decal package, retro Goodyear tires, and all the debris, damage, and scuffs seen on Wallace’s car at the end of the race.
