In January 2006, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 8 Budweiser Racing team returned to fabled Daytona International Speedway for preseason testing to determine what the squad will be rolling out on the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series this season. The test car featured a "blackout" paint scheme, with only the No. 8, Budweiser team logos and red stripe roof accents appearing in color. The car now is being released as a limited edition Track Tested die-cast replica.
