Hamlin tried several times to make his way to the lead, only to be denied. That was until the race’s final lap, when Hamlin provided a tap to the leader’s bumper. With the contact, Hamlin was able to steer to the lead that he would not relinquish as the checkered flag waved. Hamlin’s 49th career NASCAR Cup Series® victory was also the 400th all-time for the Joe Gibbs Racing organization. Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing fans can now celebrate the milestone victory with the official Lionel Racing Kansas raced-win die-cast of the No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota Camry TRD.
