Jeff Gordon scored his record ninth road course race win at Infineon Raceway and his 74th career win. The race was also the 100th NASCAR road course race, and fittingly, the all-time authority on road courses took the checkered flag. This first victory of 2006 puts Gordon in contention to again Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. In celebration of Gordon’s success, this raced win version die-cast, with all post race marks preserved, has been created.
